By the end of the year, read and comprehend literature, including stories, dramas, and poetry, at the high end of grades 2-3 text complexity band independently and proficiently.Â
Objectives
I will learn how to narrate a section of The Red Book by publishing a final draft and creating a visual to accompany my story
Plan & Procedure
Students will create an original narrative that is based off of the illustrations in a wordless book (The Red Book)
Day 1: Students will brainstorm their narrative on a sequencing chart.
Day 2: Students will create a rough draft of their story.
Day 3: Students will create their introductions and conclusions for their stories.
Day 4: Students will edit & revise their work with partner feedback.
Day 5: Students will create a digital slideshow on Canva or GoogleSlides to show illustrations with their written narrative.

I will grade students based on this rubric and their presentation.
